Now in Canada, eh

The Annual Polk County SnowBlow Championships are just around the corner, and brothers Dougie and Donny are struggling with unreliable machinery and very limited mechanical skills (and tools). What are they to do? They must keep Grandpa Sparky’s legend alive … but how??

  1. Mike Crockett says:

I live in British Columbia Canada.
I have a couple of questions and hope some one out there has an answer!
I have a 2005 Yamaha roadstar and need to do some painting on it. Does anyone know why motorcycle manufacturers do not have any kind of paint program and why you caN’T JUST GO DOWN TO YOUR LOCAL AUTOMOTIVE PAINT STORE AND BUY PAINT FOR IT! It should be that easy but, oh no!

Thanks for the email Mike. Perhaps we can help …

There is a company called Color Rite (a US based company … hence the spelling) that provides paint and paint codes for many Yamaha motorcycle models. I also believe that PPG paints has a special paint scanning tool, that will scan a paint and determine the colour and offer a “recipe” to match the colour. You would have to contact a PPG dealer and make an inquiry. Here is the Color Rite info, try them first:

US Color Rite web site: http://www.colorrite.com
Yamaha paint link on US Color Rite: http://www.colorrite.com/department/yamaha-10025.cfm
Canadian distributor for Color Rite (based in Quebec): http://www.dpars.com/colorrite.aspx
